Summary
The feasibility study under Phase 1 is ongoing and will soon be completed. This Phase 2 will include all the necessary bid package components such as design optimization, preliminary design, final design, cost estimates, bathymetric surveys, coastal boundary survey, geotechnical investigation, cultural resources and environmental permitting. An USACE Section 10/404 permit will be necessary. Depending on the selection of the preferred alternative, there will be sand-fill in jurisdictional waters; however, no issues are anticipated in the permitting process.
