Dagger Island Restoration

Summary

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will plant at least 28 acres of marsh at Dagger Island in Nueces County to protect the eroding shoreline. Dredge material will be used to support the future development of a sand and shell shoreline, low and high marsh, upland, freshwater marsh, smooth cordgrass, and tidal flat habitats.
