Galveston Bay Public Awareness and Education Campaign

Summary

To develop and implement a public education and awareness campaign that facilitates implementation of the Estuary Program's policy and management actions including the protection, restoration, and enhancement of coastal habitats in the Lower Galveston Bay Watershed, the support for water conservation that ensures freshwater inflows for the estuary and reduction in non-point source pollution.  This project is expected to build capacity for long-term preservation of coastal resource protection by increasing the number of people and groups involved in coastal restoration activities long-terms, informing a generation of citizens to engage in environmentally, sustainable development practices  and to become more effective stewards of the environment.
