From the intersection of SH 118 and SH 17 on the south side of Fort Davis, bear right (southwest) on SH 17. Travel 2.3 miles west and south to the intersection of SH 17 and SH 166. Turn right (west) on SH 166 and go 11.0 miles to the entrance of Davis Mountains Resort (rock sign) on the right. Travel north 6.2 miles on the deeded easement dirt road (becomes Tomahawk Trail at 3.4 miles).
