Roads, Highways, & Bridges | Onsite Disposal Systems | Urban Planning Resources | Beach & Dune Management
The following manuals are designed to improve stormwater management efforts in Texas coastal communities. They are intended to provide local decision makers with comprehensive guidance on conventional systems and an integrated green infrastructure-based approach to natural resource protection.
Through implementation of these practices, communities can preserve their unique coastal resources from the negative impacts sometimes associated with land development and the resulting nonpoint source pollution. At the same time, recommended practices and design procedures will promote more resilient development practices to help manage long-term stormwater management costs while continuing to promote tourism, recreation, and economic development.

Adapting Space to Better Address Stormwater Needs
We can help an existing, already developed space better address its stormwater needs through a process called retrofitting. Retrofitting uses new technology or a design approaches to revitalize an existing space and improve our stormwater treatment and storage.
